Another cute knit pattern from Debi Birkin – this one for my oldest daughter.  I made him completely out of stash yarn – leftover Manos del Uruguay Cotton Stria (in multiple colors) for the overalls, the better part of a skein of Blue Sky Alpacas Skinny Organic Cotton (color clay) for the body, and Aslan Trends Glaciar del Cielo (color white) for the accents.

I ran out of the clay color, so more of his body is in the white than the pattern calls for, but I think it came out looking okay.  I used size US 4 needles – larger than the pattern calls for – to correspond with the yarn I used, which is actually kind of nice because Diggerty came out pretty good-sized, and I hate working on the small needles!

Stuffed animals are fun knitting projects for variety – very different than knitting clothes, a lot of sewing together, stuffing, assembling, putting on accents – sometimes it’s a very welcome break from a lot of repetitive knitting.
