I don’t do a lot of intarsia knitting – too time-consuming! – but I loved this little girl’s sweater. I knit size 27” for my eight-year-old, but it’s pretty tight all over, just barely long enough, and I had to add several inches of white cuff on the sleeves because they were way too short. However, when I tried it on my six-year-old, it looked too oversized. I guess it’s probably perfect for a seven-year-old . . . anyway, Bella can wear it at least for this spring season. I followed the pattern without any modifications and used the recommended yarn and needles (US 6s) – if I was to do it again for an eight-year-old, I’d go up to the next size.
