Man’s Osprey cap

I love this one – a definite go-to yarn and pattern for knitting men’s hats.  I used a stash skein (didn’t even need the entire skein, probably only about 3/4ths of it) of Quince & Co Osprey in color Kittywake.  It knitted up so soft and squishy, yet it also shows stitch definition beautifully, which made it perfect for the broken rib stitch pattern – Man Hat, free on Ravelry.

I knit on US 9s and finished in one evening – a very quick and satisfying knit, and it would look beautiful in many of the Quince colors.  In fact, I like the pattern on me, too – I would probably knit just one inch shorter before starting the decreases, but it’s kind of nice to have it long enough to pull well below my ears.
