Another quick project for my stash of go-to baby gifts – really, just an excuse for me to get to play with colors 🙂 The pattern is Henry’s Sweater, and the yarn is Knitted Wit Superwash Merino Fingering (held doubled) in color Picante (just about one skein) and color Turks & Caicos for the striping (along with some Spud & Chloe Sweater yarn in color Ice Cream).
I knit size 6 months on the recommended US 7s (and US 5s for the ribbing). I found the directions for the garter rib stitch (on the sweater yoke) confusing, so I made up my own by keeping the knit and purl stitches lined up from row to row. Because it’s such a tiny sweater knit in worsted weight, it really benefited from a good soaking and blocking. I do love the colors together, but I wish I had a baby “model” to see how it fits!Pin It
