Another quick project for my stash of go-to baby gifts – really, just an excuse for me to get to play with colors The pattern is Henry’s Sweater, and the yarn is Knitted Wit Superwash Merino Fingering (held doubled) in color Picante (just about one skein) and color Turks & Caicos for the striping (along with some Spud & Chloe Sweater yarn in color Ice Cream).
I knit size 6 months on the recommended US 7s (and US 5s for the ribbing). I found the directions for the garter rib stitch (on the sweater yoke) confusing, so I made up my own by keeping the knit and purl stitches lined up from row to row. Because it’s such a tiny sweater knit in worsted weight, it really benefited from a good soaking and blocking. I do love the colors together, but I wish I had a baby “model” to see how it fits!Pin It
