Size: Custom w/ relaxed fit (43 3/4″ bust) – I thought my blocked stitch gauge was 17 sts x 26 rows, but I think I was a little off, because this didn’t come out quite as big as I thought it would – I love the size, but it’s not at all oversized or even “relaxed.” Also, the sleeves are probably a little short (which I could correct in my CustomFit measurements, but again, I think it might be my gauge, not my measurements)
Yarn: Clara Yarn Shetland 1.0, color Mooskit – 4 1/2 skeins (300 yds/ea)
Needles: US 6s
Notes: I love the stitch pattern, and I like having the back and sleeves stockinette, which allows the pattern on the front to really be a focal point.
This cardigan is amazingly light – it’s almost like wearing nothing at all! I had envisioned it as a little more oversized, maybe with the sleeves rolled up and down to mid-hip – again, I think this is the fault of my measurements input into Customfit – but now that it’s done, I’m glad it’s a little closer fit, because this type of fit goes better with the feel of the finished fabric. And, this will allow me to get a lot more use of it because it will be the perfect cardigan to pull on when there’s just a bit of a chill in the air.
