I knit this shawl as a wedding gift for my soon-to-be sister-in-law, who requested it in navy (her wedding color). I finished it in six days – just in time for the bridal shower – although by the end, each row was almost 400 stitches and the picot bind-off took over two hours! I love how it came out, although the depth dimensions seem smaller than the sample in the pattern. Next time, I would choose a “heavy fingering” yarn (even a sport weight), as the pattern recommends.
